In short
Strictly necessary cookies keep the site secure and working. Everything else — functional, analytics and advertising — stays off until you choose to turn it on, and you can change your mind as easily as you gave consent.
This Cookie Policy explains how Wesoftek Solutions Private Limited, operating under the brand Paisanow, uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit or interact with https://www.paisanow.com, its pages, forms and related web interfaces (collectively, the “Platform”). It should be read together with our Privacy policy and Terms of use.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text or data files stored on or accessed from a browser or device when a website is visited. A cookie may contain or generate an identifier and may allow a website to recognise a browser, maintain a session, remember preferences, protect forms, understand usage or measure communications and campaigns. Cookies do not normally contain the full documents or financial records submitted in a loan application.
2. Similar technologies
This Policy also covers technologies that perform similar functions, including pixels, web beacons, tags, software development kits, local storage, session storage, device or browser identifiers, scripts and tracking links. References to “cookies” include these technologies unless the context requires otherwise.
3. Our approach to consent
- Strictly necessary cookies may be used to operate, secure and provide the Platform or a feature you request.
- Non-essential functional, analytics, performance, advertising and similar technologies will be activated only in accordance with the preference you select, where consent is required.
- Rejecting non-essential cookies will not prevent access to ordinary Platform content, although an optional feature that depends on a rejected cookie may not work.
- Consent choices are specific by category, freely made, informed and recorded. Pre-ticked acceptance is not used for non-essential categories.
- You may change or withdraw a non-essential preference as easily as it was given. Withdrawal operates prospectively.
4. Why we use cookies
- Operate pages, forms, sessions and functionality you have requested.
- Authenticate requests, protect against malicious traffic, detect misuse and support fraud prevention.
- Store cookie choices and interface preferences.
- Measure traffic, diagnose errors and improve speed, usability and content.
- Understand whether a referral or campaign led to an enquiry or application.
- Provide optional communications, chat or embedded functionality.
- Deliver or measure relevant advertising only where the required choice has been obtained.
5. Categories of cookies
| Category | Purpose | Typical duration | Default setting |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Security, fraud prevention, network management, load balancing, session continuity, consent preference storage and delivery of a feature you specifically requested. | Session, or a limited persistent period appropriate to the function. | Always active where required; not used for unrelated advertising. |
| Functional | Remembering optional choices, language or interface preferences; enabling optional chat, form and convenience features. | Session or a defined persistent period. | Off unless consent is obtained, where the technology processes personal data or is otherwise non-essential. |
| Analytics and performance | Understanding traffic, pages viewed, user journeys, errors, response times and aggregate use so the Platform can be measured and improved. | A defined period proportionate to the analytical purpose. | Off unless consent is obtained. |
| Advertising and measurement | Measuring campaigns, limiting repeated advertisements, attributing referrals and — where expressly selected — providing interest-based advertising. | A defined period set out in the live cookie register. | Off unless consent is obtained. |
6. Session and persistent cookies
A session cookie generally expires when the browser is closed or the session ends. A persistent cookie remains until its stated expiry date, until it is replaced, or until you delete it. Each cookie’s duration is limited to what is reasonably necessary for its stated purpose and is shown in the live cookie register.
7. First-party and third-party cookies
First-party cookies are set by the Paisanow.com domain. Third-party cookies or tags are provided by another domain or service provider, such as a security, communications, analytics, advertising, video or customer-support provider. A third party may independently process information under its own privacy and cookie terms. We assess material providers, limit their use to approved purposes and provide controls for non-essential third-party technologies where required.
8. Information cookies may collect
- Cookie, browser, device, advertising or session identifiers.
- IP address and approximate location derived from it.
- Browser type, operating system, device category, screen characteristics and language.
- Date, time, referring page, pages visited, links or buttons selected and time spent.
- Form or session status, error events and security signals.
- Campaign, referral and conversion information.
- Preferences and consent records.
We do not use cookies to store bank PINs, passwords, transaction OTPs or complete KYC and loan documents. Sensitive application data is transmitted and stored through secure, access-controlled systems rather than ordinary browser cookies.
9. How cookie information may be combined
Where permitted by law and consistent with your choices, cookie or device information may be linked with an enquiry, account, application or communication to maintain continuity, prevent fraud, measure a requested journey or provide relevant support. It will not be used for a materially incompatible purpose without an appropriate notice and legal basis.
10. Advertising, pixels and campaign measurement
If advertising or measurement technologies are deployed, they may record that a browser viewed or interacted with a campaign and may help avoid repeatedly showing the same advertisement. Interest-based advertising or cross-site profiling will be enabled only where the required preference has been selected. Rejecting advertising cookies will not remove all advertisements; it may make them less relevant or prevent campaign attribution.
11. Email and message tracking
Where lawful and appropriately disclosed, service or marketing emails may contain pixels or tracked links indicating delivery, opening or interaction. This information may be used to secure communications, measure effectiveness and manage preferences. You may opt out of marketing communications using the method stated in the message or by contacting us; service communications relating to an active request may continue.
12. Managing preferences
- Use the cookie preference control displayed on the Platform to accept, reject or change non-essential categories.
- Necessary cookies cannot ordinarily be disabled through the preference centre because they support security and requested functionality.
- Clearing browser storage may remove the saved preference cookie, in which case the banner may be displayed again.
- Preferences are generally browser- and device-specific. Repeat the selection on each browser or device you use.
- If the preference centre is unavailable, contact the privacy address below.
13. Browser and device controls
Most browsers permit you to view, block or delete cookies, restrict third-party cookies, clear browsing data or use private-browsing modes. Device and browser instructions vary and may change. Blocking all cookies may prevent forms, security controls, login functions or other requested features from working correctly. Browser controls do not necessarily block every pixel, local-storage item or server-side measurement technology.
14. Do Not Track and preference signals
Browser “Do Not Track” and other automated preference signals are not interpreted consistently across the internet. We will respond to legally recognised preference signals where required and technically supported. The Platform’s cookie preference centre remains the primary method for recording choices unless otherwise stated.
15. Children
The Platform and its loan-facilitation services are intended for adults competent to contract and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly use cookies to profile children for behavioural advertising. If we learn that a child’s personal data has been collected without lawful authority, we will take appropriate steps to restrict or delete it.
16. Retention and security
Cookies and related records are retained only for the period needed for their stated function, legal compliance, security, fraud prevention, audit or dispute resolution. Consent records may be retained for a reasonable period to demonstrate the preference provided. Expired, obsolete or unjustified cookies are removed from the Platform and cookie register.
Reasonable technical and organisational measures are applied to cookie and tracking data, including access controls, secure transmission where appropriate, provider controls and monitoring. No internet technology is completely secure. Keep browsers and devices updated and avoid sharing devices or sessions without appropriate safeguards.
17. Data sharing and transfers
Cookie information may be processed by authorised hosting, security, analytics, communications, advertising or technical providers only for approved purposes and subject to appropriate contractual and security measures. If information is processed outside India, we apply the safeguards and restrictions required by applicable law and our Privacy policy.
The Platform may link to a Lending Partner or display third-party content. Once you visit or interact with an independent third-party service, that party may set its own cookies under its own policies. Review the third party’s notices and controls. Our preference centre may not control cookies set after you leave the Platform.
18. Cookie register
A register of every active cookie and similar technology — covering provider, purpose, category, identifier, duration and whether it is first or third party — is maintained from the technologies actually deployed on the production Platform and kept synchronised with the cookie banner. Material changes trigger a fresh review of consent requirements and of this Policy.
19. Changes and contact
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in technology, providers, Platform features, law or our practices. The effective date will be revised. Where a change materially affects a consented purpose or category, an updated notice or fresh choice will be presented where required.
For questions, requests or complaints concerning cookies or related personal-data processing, contact us using the details below. We may request information necessary to verify and address the request.
